Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its X200 FE smartphone in India, scheduled for release within the next week. Though the device shares its name with the premium Vivo X200, notable changes in design, chipset, and display clearly mark it as a different offering.
Currently available on Flipkart, the Vivo X200 5G with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 65,999, discounted from its original Rs 74,999 tag. While Vivo has not disclosed official pricing for the X200 FE, industry insiders predict its entry between Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000. Final prices will be confirmed upon launch.
In terms of aesthetics, the X200 showcases a circular rear camera housing with branding positioned at the base. In contrast, the X200 FE will introduce a vertical pill-shaped camera module containing two sensors, signaling a distinct visual identity.
The X200 is built around a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen offering a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 chipset and Immortalis-G925 GPU. Camera specifications include a trio of 50MP lenses at the rear and a 32MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a 5800mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging.
Meanwhile, the X200 FE will feature a slightly smaller 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display, also supporting 120Hz refresh rate. Processing duties will be handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip coupled with an Immortalis-G720 GPU. The rear setup includes two 50MP cameras and one 8MP sensor, while the front camera sees an upgrade to 50MP. The battery sees an enhancement, with a 6500mAh capacity and 90W fast charging.
Though bearing a similar name, the Vivo X200 FE carves out its own identity with subtle but meaningful changes in design and core specifications. The launch will clarify its position in Vivo’s expanding portfolio and help consumers decide based on their performance and budget priorities.
